rustic headboards

check out this article on rustic-crafts.com   They featured lots of cool headboards including mine, that are made out of wood, logs, branches and more. I especially like the one made out of a redwood burl. I learned recently that burls are actually caused by a bacteria and are big tumors like cancer.

yellow pine railing

check out the yellow pine railing from the most recent installation. The wood railing crew did a great job installing this project. From working with the on-site finish carpenter to getting the sections up against the ceiling to contour with the curve of the tongue and groove pine boards, the level of attention to detail throughout this project was the exact same that will be given to your project.

surreal railing

here’s a pic that’s somewhat surreal. the rectilinear forms on the lower third of the frame are at stark contrast with the organic, pastoral nature of the upper portion.

this decorative wood railing would fit right in with the bucolic scenery of the English countryside.

handrail

here’s another shot of the centrally framed handrail disappearing into infinity. this one gives me vertigo for some reason. maybe it’s because the left side of the handrail is lower than the right. or the block shapes shadows of the building silhouetted on the rock wall. regardless, it’s cool.
